How to buy PVC strip curtains

Simply complete the 'Made to measure PVC strip curtains quote tool' above to find out how much your pvc curtain will cost. You just need to know:

• Total plastic door curtain width in millimetres - if the curtain track will be mounted on the wall above the door you need to add 200mm to the width to allow overlap around the edge of the doorway.
  
• Total plastic door curtain height in millimetres - if the curtain track will be mounted on the wall above the door you need to add 150mm to the height so the track can be fixed and the door curtain won't be too short.
  
• If you want red edge warning door strips - these are a safety feature that highlight the edges of the doorway to forklift drivers and also looks fantastic.
  
• Whether you want fixed or sliding plastic curtains - fixed plastic door strips hang from a fixed track and allow pedestrians to just push through them, whereas sliding PVC strip curtains can be moved to the edge of the doorway when needed such as for motorised vehicles.
  
• PVC strip type - choose from standard, anti-static, freezer, welded, frosted, ribbed, ribbed freezer or blackout plastic curtains. Our PVC strip curtains are sold in sizes 200mmx2mm, 300mmx2mm and 400mmx4mm indicating the PVC strip width and thicknesses and are designed for differing curtain heights.
  
• Minimum or maximum overlap - maximum overlap is where the door strips overlap by 80% to 100% and make the plastic curtains heavier, hang better and provide a better barrier but cost a little more. Minimum overlap is where the door strips overlap by 40% to 56% and mean the plastic curtains are lighter weight but are not so heavy duty and cost less.

2) Are PVC strips easy to clean?
Yes, PVC curtain strips are easy to clean. A big advantage of plastic curtains is that they can be cleaned with a bucket of warm soapy water and a sponge. Simply running a sponge across the PVC strip once a month will keep your door strips clean and help maintain clear visibility through them. If your curtain strips have hard to remove grime you may need to soak them or use chemical-based cleaners such as bleach. You will need to refer to the instructions of your pvc curtain for specific information about what cleaners to use.

3) What PVC strip do I need?
The type of PVC strip you need will depend on the type of opening, its use and function. For example, if regular fork-lift access is required sliding and ribbed strip curtains with red-edge warning strips may be more practical. Freezer PVC strip curtains are usually recommended for walk-in chillers and fridges as they stay flexible down to -40c.
